The podcasts will deal mainly with Swedish and Nordic folk music, leaning heavily on drone instruments like the bagpipes and that very special Swedish instrument, the nyckelharpa.     Welcome back to the Nordic drones podcast show. This is a program about Swedish and Nordic folk music brought to you by the publishing company Tongång. The purpose of our podcasts is to let you listen to samples from our releases but also to give you a chance to learn more about the Swedish folk scene. You’ll hear several samples from the CD and Olle gives us a background to his passion for this rather unknown drone instrument.     This pilot podcast starts in Karlstad, western Sweden, in January 2008 when journalist-musician Rino Rotevatn organized a meeting for Swedish bagpipe players. I’ts also about piping.se, a great forum for friends of Nordic and Irish folk music. This show is presented by Jan Winter who also lets you listen to some coming releases from Swedish folk music record Company Tongång, co-owned with Per-Ulf Allmo.
