    Wait on Samsung's Smart Monitor / The Galaxy A82 might blur the lines / The weird SD 865 Galaxy S20 5G in India

    The Smart Monitor has obvious pitfalls: - Latency in Airplay2 - Resolution on 32 inches not sufficient at 1080, and brightness of the display at less than 250 nits, inaccurate colours - Thunderbolt 3 is missing Probably best to wait for M9 with an OLED, Thunderbolt 4 Best for  kid's room instead of getting a spare TV Introductory price of 21k INR, but you shouldn't get that variant https://bit.ly/323xG6f The Galaxy A82 is muddying the waters - It does not have a flip camera, but it does bring water resistance. - The SD 855+, 860 and 120Hz are the best features. - It sits below the S20 FE in terms of price, and will launch on April 21 (In South Korea as the Quantum2 for some reason). Remember that A52 5G (sort of successor to the world's best selling phone) is better than A82, which is more expensive, because of the better processor of SD 750G https://bit.ly/2Rl8s13 Galaxy S20 FE 5G variant in India fiasco: - Comes with SD 865 instead of Exynos. - Comes with Android 11 - Comparable performance to the S21 Ultra, with better thermals, and trashes the Exynos 990 S20 FE.     My reactions to Samsung Unpacked 2021!

    I didn't like the fact that they screwed India with the pricing. They also messed up on the S Pen Pro, and the Tags Plus.  The S21 Ultra is an excellent phone - but it is priced way too high.

    Apple, can you HEAR ME? (Airpods Max Rant!)

    So people have been hitting me up about the Airpods Max. Should you buy? NO. Absolutely not. In the last 10 years of me being aware of Apple Products, i have never had such an immediate reaction to one of their products. This is just too god-damn expensive. Maube the "breakthrough acoustic design" will make your head feel better, but it certainly is not worth that much money. Apple converts at a 100 INR = 1 US dollar when it comes to India, so this thing is 60,000 INR in India. YOu can get a diamond Studded WH1000XM4 for that cash.

    WHAT?! Did someone say BLACK Macbook coming?

    According to a new patent Apple could be working on a new Black Macbook; and they are doing this in the most Apple way imaginable - with "Light trapping" anodized aluminium. If you add the fact that we're getting a Mini-LED Macbook next year; I'm thinking this is my next machine.

    Looks like the Exynos 1080 is about to REDEFINE what a mid-range processor can be for Android....

    The Pixel 4 with Snapdragon 855 scored 667 and 2221 on Geekbench, whereas the Pixel 5 with Snapdragon 765 scored 585 and 1566. The Samsung Galaxy S20 FE with Snapdragon 865 scored 829 and 3066 respectively on Geekbench whereas an upcoming Vivo phone powered by Exynos 1080 will (guesstimating here) score 1000 and 3000 on Geekbench.

    The BoM for the iPhone 12 Pro just made things AWKWARD for the middle child

    According to Fomalhaut Techno Solutions, the iPhone 12 costs 373 dollars to make, and is sold for 829 dollars, whereas the iPhone 12 Pro costs 406 dollars and is sold for 999 dollars. The OLED Display costs 70 dollars and the 5G Modem costs 90 dollars.

    The OLED iPad Pro is REAL!

    Mini-LED iPads are coming in Q1 of 2021, and OLED the OLED iPad Pro is coming in H2 2021. According to TheElec Samsung and LG are manufacturing these displays with extra emitters to prevent burn-in and lack of brightness over time.
