She was a professor of both psychology and professional writing at the University of Oklahoma before switching to writing full time. While a member of the academy, Jennifer's research focused on the psychology of stories and storytelling, seeking answers to why we as humans are so attracted to fiction, and using those theories to help drive her writing!
