Ted Bishop Part 2
Ted Bishop was the 38th president of the PGA of America and was removed from office 29 days before his term expired.

Ted Bishop Part 1
Ted Bishop was the 38th president of the PGA of America and was removed from office 29 days before his term expired. Despite his early removal from office and the fact that to this day, six years later, the PGA of America doesn’t recognize Ted as a Past President, Ted has some fantastic stories from his presidency and there were some significant accomplishments for the Association during his term in office.
In part 1, Ted talks what first got him interested in a leadership role, his idea to choose Tom Watson for Ryder Cup Captain in 2014, and his hand in creating the Deacon Palmer Award.
Gary Gant has been a PGA member for 40 years and is still going strong as the head professional at Chestnut Hills Golf Club in Fort Wayne. He is an Indiana Golf Hall of Fame member, an Indiana PGA Golf Professional of the Year, an Indiana PGA Teacher of the Year, and most recently an Indiana PGA Deacon Palmer Award recipient.
In this episode, Gary discusses his teaching career (including the challenge of coaching his own kids), his playing career, and his recent battle with cancer - where he still went to work every single day. Additionally, Gary is hilarious and is sure to entertain!
Suzy Whaley has spent the past two years serving as the President of the PGA of America.
As the first female ever elected, Suzy has been adamant about getting more females involved in golf. She has also focused her attention on serving PGA members to the best of her ability, with an emphasis on diversity and inclusion.
Her goal is always to stay present and focus on the current task at hand, saying, "I always try to be where my feet are."
Dr. Gary Sailes
Dr. Gary Sailes is a professor at Indiana University and a sports performance coach and consultant specializing in the area of mental strength training. Dr. Sailes works with junior, college, and professional golfers and coaches and has presented at PGA and other golf coaches' meetings across the United States and internationally.
In this episode, Dr. Sailes gives tips to help golfers of any skill level hit more quality golf shots! He shares achievable on-course goals, the importance of realistic expectations, and advice for junior golf parents.
