    NOW YOU MADE IT AWKWARD Ep184: "It All Comes Back To Jesus"

    This week Shoky is on the road heading to Colorado for a Nerd Culture Ministries Summit. Since Shaun's house is literally on the way he stops in for a visit. We finally get to reveal the Episode 200 commemorative challenge coin that will be on sale soon for the live shows!  Shoky shares the story missing from last week on how Mrs Shoky (Jessica) lost her phone at the movie theater and the journey to find it! 3 hours. Longer than the movie itself! Shaun recently watched the latest Avatar: Fire and Ash. We go over how cgi looks worse despite it being the best it's ever been. Also how did humans figure out that there was a super special hormone inside a space whales brain? Tyler asks: if there's any bands we loved that fell off over time? Shoky points out Korn, Metallica, and even FLAW. Turn's out that Shaun loves R&B music when he works out. Tyler also brings up a video of Korean Jesus ascending into the sky on a crane. 2026 is wild. Recently the Shoky's have been re-watching "The Chosen" and "The Passion of The Christ" over Easter weekend, which led Jessica to ask: "why did Judas betray Jesus?" On a totally different note we go over the newest season of THE BOYS on Amazon and how the tone has dramatically shifted to current day politics and how TV and movies need to stop before they lose audiences.  Along with that the new Lord of The Rings movie is on the way! "The Hunt for Gollum" and if you're like Shoky, you have no idea what that is.     This week we review the new movie "Project Hail Mary." It's mostly non-spoiler talk, if you wan't the full review you'll have to sign up for Patreon.  SNL decided that the casting of a "Black Snape" in the upcoming Harry Potter series was hilarious. And rightly so. Not to mention problematic if you know the source material.  Tyler asks us if we had imaginary friends as children. Leading us to wonder if his house is haunted since his daughter has a new invisible acquaintance.  We also mourn the loss of Shaun's dad, Kelly, who passed away last week. We awkwardly listen to his voice message, realizing that it was a recorded a few hours BEFORE he died.  And with that discussion Shoky tell's how he is going through a big season of change.     NOW YOU MADE IT AWKWARD Ep178: "Download Syndrome"

    This week we are Chadless, but we will endure. Except for Jefe who is very sleepy.  Tyler asks us what simple things make us irrationally angry? He doesn't seem to appreciate country music. However it does bring up an event that took place over the weekend: The Trucktard Invasion! The bane of Shoky's existence. They came. They made noise. They got arrested.  Real talk: when is modifying your vehicle too much? And what automotive style makes you irrationally mad?  "A Knight of The Seven Kingdoms" finally wrapped it's first season. We were both very pleased with the latest installment in the "Game of Thrones" universe. These show-runners KNOW what fans want to see.  Unlike Star Trek. We mentioned "Starfleet Academy" last week, but now they have celebrated the first openly gay Klingon character. Leaving Trekkies to wonder: WHY? Beyond that the show insists on having diversity for diversity's sake. And not 35th century diversity. 21st century diversity. There are characters that are austic, including a hologram. People who need glasses and hearing aids. Despite medical technology advancing far beyond any disability. A once great television series, that carried the ideas of human greatness and idealism, now reduced to pushing the woke Hollywood agenda. No matter how bad the outcome.  Mike finally messaged us about the movement to make Alberta it's own independent republic. Who knew the Canadians couldn't get along good enough to even keep their country together?  Speaking of countries in turmoil: Mexico finds itself under attack from a cartel, following the killing of a El Mencho. Mexican national guard members were killed in retaliation, civilians attacked, businesses burned and much more violence carried out.     NOW YOU MADE IT AWKWARD Ep177: "Bucket of Doorknobs"

    This week we have sad news as we discuss the incident that led to this show permanently boycotting Copperhead Brewery. We were already on a temporary boycott due to the no dogs policy. But after this experience we have decided that we will no longer give them our business or promote them. Chado, the Vinyl Daddy, comes in late, but just in time to answer your questions! Corrine asks which of us is the most certifiable? Who has the weirdest habits. The strangest food addictions. Who is our craziest friend and why? And finally wonders about our worst days at work ever. Leading to some hefty stories from each of us. Though Shoky's story had to remain on Patreon! Shaun ask us if we have an internal soundtrack as we go through life? Mike  ⁨@TheComicReliefCrusader⁩  asks us to discuss Albert pushing for separation from the rest of Canada. We don't actually know anything about it. So maybe next week he can tell us more. Shoky does get personal discussing how he doesn't truly know his parent's history. Being a whole generation behind the rest of his family, he never got to know who his parents were before he came along. "The Mandalorian and Grogu" trailer dropped, giving us all hope that this upcoming Star Wars movie will do the long running series justice as it tries to wrap up this story in a meaningful way. Within this news, the announcement that Disney plans on retconning "The Last Jedi" sets off Shoky.  Speaking of Disney, they have sent a Cease and Desist letter to Bytedance, the creators of TikTok, and Seedance 2.0. Apparently they weren't very happy with the AI video creator stealing their characters to make fan movies. And with the technology getting better and better, Disney is probably worried for their own film making future.  Sad news in the last week and civil rights icon Jesse Jackson passed away from a long battle with PSP and Parkinson's. He lived a long life and died peacefully. Much like actor Robert Duvall who also died a few days after Jesse. We discover how much of his career we didn't even know about.  And finally, we randomly discuss high school mascots. What are the top 5, and which animal were you?
