The impacts of unemployment are far-reaching. It results in underutilization of human resources, hindering economic growth, and leads to rising poverty, increasing economic hardships for families. Social issues like corruption and unethical behavior may increase with unemployment, and industrial disputes may arise. Moreover, unemployed individuals are more prone to exploitation of labor and political instability may result. The government has launched initiatives like the National Career Service Project and MGNREGA to tackle unemployment.
