internationalisation at home

Het is de week van de internationale student. Centraal staat het opdoen van een internationale ervaring. Wist je dat dit breder is dan enkel naar het buitenland gaan? Internationale competenties opdoen kan ook met internationalisaton at home (IaH). In deze nieuwe podcast gaan we in op een veelbesproken onderwerp: internationalisation at home. Wat is dat nu eigenlijk? En hoe ziet dit er uit in de praktijk? We gaan in gesprek met expert Eveke de Louw van de Haagse hogeschool en het lectoraat Global Learning. Ook studenten Thijs (Windesheim), Jan (HAN) en Alex (Hogeschool Leiden) sluiten aan en delen hun ervaring.

In this special WilWeg and StudyInHolland podcast we will talk about all things related to student well being. From anxiety to depression and from loneliness to performance pressure. International student Anna and Dutch student abroad Durkje will tell their stories about the challenges of studying abroad as well as the importance of finding help from the perspective of students. They are joined by Thomas Bijl from student platform Frisse Gedachtes and Ellen van Veen from the Dutch expertise centre of inclusive education, ECIO who explain the importance of the role of Dutch institutions and give peer-to-peer solutions to make it trough difficult times.

In deze podcast vertellen studenten Fatima, Soraya, Marvin en Durkje over hun buitenlandervaring die niet helemaal natuurlijk tot stand kwam. Want wat als je ouders hebt die niet willen dat je gaat? Of wat als je de eerste in je familie bent die naar het buitenland gaat maar het je ouders niet zoveel interesseert? Of wat doe je als je dyslexie hebt en je een studie in een andere taal wil gaan doen? We bespreken het met deze vier ervaringsdeskundigen en hopen met hun inspirerende verhalen jou verder te helpen met je studie, stage of tussenjaar in het buitenland.
