    NTP 071: Spooky Stories Pt 2

    Another derailment, Lourdes starts show off by talking about cosmetic surgeries. Tello talks a little about Dia de los muertos to try and get the show back on track. Number Two Cuz shares a Dia de los muertos story of when she dressed up for a party, but she was surprised by how other people decided to dress for the occasion. Number Two Cuz gives a brief description of what a pesadilla is, which is not to be confused with a quesadilla. Lourdes and Tello share part 2 of Julie’s spooky story. Number Two Cuz and Tello talk about Julie’s pesadilla and the spooky possibilities of how real it may have been. Tello shares his personal ghostly experience that was more emotional than spooky (and maybe a little poopy). Lourdes also shares an experience with a smell from a past down family item. Number Two Cuz and Tello share part 2 of Lupe’s spooky story. Tello and Number Two Cuz talk about Lupe’s childhood friend. Was he imaginary or was he only something real that only Lupe could see? Lourdes and Tello listen to another story from their cousin Julie. Julie had a possible visitor that only some could see.     NTP 068: Dreams, and More Golden Oldies

    Lourdes starts off by talking about the stress of dealing with the pandemic. Tello tries to change the subject to something happier Number Two Cuz also talks about attending two funerals recently, but she also had the honor of attending a 100th birthday for a local priest. Tello talks about a dream he had where he got into a fight, and the real life repercussions that it caused. Tello talks about the best advice he heard for winning a fight. Lourdes and Tello call Andrea (Lourdes’ sister) to interpret a couple of their dreams. Andrea does her best to interpret the dreams, and Lourdes and Tello find her assessments interesting. Tello and Number Two Cuz talk about the movie Stand By Me, and what it might look like if they were to make a modern remake. Lourdes and Tello also talk about Back to the Future, and what a modern remake of that could be like. Tello wonders if Lourdes’ kids would be friends with her if they had the opportunity to meet her in high school like in the plot of Back to the Future. Lourdes has an answer, but she may be way off track initially. Tello and Lourdes talk to Lupe (Lourdes’ other sister) to settle a dispute about a certain word that Lourdes may have mistakenly used. Isabel announces a big life moment that she recently experienced.     NTP 064: Gen X vs Gen Z Pt. 2

    Lourdes starts off the show by pointing out how much work Isabel and Pila completed in a short amount of time in order to prepare for the show, but the recording for that day was canceled. Lourdes shows off the organized notebook that Isabel and Pila are working from. Tello apologizes for canceling on the original record time for the show. Pila and Tello talk about listening to ASMR to help fall asleep. Tello admits to watching “Limpia” ASMR videos and barber massage videos to help fall asleep. Lourdes and Tello continue trivia against Isabel and Pila. Isabel and Pila start off with their lead from part 1. Tello is disappointed in everyone’s knowledge of simple Star Wars trivia - including Lourdes. Lourdes and Tello start off strong, and Tello even schools Isabel and Pila with some Gen Z knowledge. Tello uses a lifeline to call a “surprise guest” on the air to answer a Gen Z trivia question. Lourdes tries to use some Gen Z slang, but she ends up making an awkward statement. Tello is impressed with how much knowledge Isabel and Pila have about Generation X’s pop culture.
