Sister street void of sisters?

Hey yall- I was so excited to see this episode highlighting a place very near and dear to my heart- even have a matching tattoo I got on the couch there on a Christmas Day in 2016. I gotta say, your pacing and tone are so easy to listen to and I’m really grateful for it. However, I was sorely disappointed that of all the names mentioned, almost all were of men that lived there and none of the women who made it a magical (and let’s be honest-livable) spot. Especially sad to hear Kate Cavasos left out, but there are so many other women who were also musicians and artists living there that have been functionally erased from that history. This isn’t just about what you as podcasters chose to cover, but of the greater trend for men to always have more permission and recognition to strike out on their own and dive deep into their art. And as a woman in that scene for almost a decade, I can say, a lot of the men who were named were fed and supported by the women who weren’t
