    Spotify and Joe Rogan $100 Million Deal

    The podcasting world shook on May 20th when Joe Rogan announced that the Joe Rogan Experience would be exclusively on Spotify. This is a massive move for not only Joe but also for the chess board that is podcasting.  Additionally, Joe Rogan has been an open critic of Youtube and their censorship issues in the long term.     #020 Tesla, Elon Musk, Cyber Truck

    Tesla newest vehicle Elon Musk led the Tesla Cyber Truck reveal about a month ago. To say it caught the media's attention would be an understatement. In the recent months Elon worth and Tesla’s stock price have been running up in response to the company’s new factories and vehicles being completed. Surprisingly, the Cyber Truck show blew the lid off of social media. Elon Musk threw a heavy stainless steal ball at the “bullet-proof” glass. Therefore, in embarrassing fashion the glass broke and instantly the video was trending across the globe. Was this planned by the genius Elon Musk, or was this totally random?  Subsequently, the aftermath on social media led to a record amount of pre-orders to be paid for the Tesla Cyber Truck. Elon Musk and the Tesla team have proven that they can build top quality electric vehicles that the public demands intently. The sky is not even the limit for Tesla and the rest of Elon Musk’s initiatives. He also is moving at breakneck speed on the SpaceX rocket that will carry people to moon and beyond.     #019 Roddy Rich The Box

    Everybody by now has heard of The Box by Roddy Rich. This song has been a billboard #1 hit for the past view weeks. However, it’s important that we take a step back to see how this song blew up. Songs, artists, and creators in the future will have to use similar strategies using social media. Another example of this recently in our society is "Old Town Road" by Lil Nas X. TikTok had a great hand in blowing up the song by Roddy Rich. The platform was the most used song clip in the app for about 2 weeks. Therefore, Roddy Rich has set the infrastructure of how to blow up in a technology obsessed age.     TikTok just surpassed 1.5 billion downloads across the globe, and now they have announced plans to offer a music streaming application to rival Apple Must, Spotify, Tencent Music, and Amazon. The TikTok app offers the company immense pools of song data on how pieces of content perform with certain background music. Bytedance, the parent company of TikTok, has already announced that this new music streaming app is going to pilot this year in India and across South East Asia. Shortly after this music streaming app will become available in the United States. There will be major competition for their application but TikTok/Bytedance believe that their technology focus and advanced algorithms will help them build the best platform available.
