    The Day Everything Went Silent

    In one of our most personal episodes yet, we finally sit down and talk through a night we’ve avoided for more than four years... the night Gabbie was hit by a car. For the first time, we walk through what happened before, during, and after the accident. The confusion, the injuries, the memory loss, the panic attacks, the silence inside her mind, and the slow, messy process of figuring out life again. We talk about healing that isn’t linear, faith that felt quiet for a long time, and the unexpected ways God shows up in the parts of our story that reroute us. If you’ve ever felt off course, overwhelmed, or stuck in a season you didn’t ask for, then this episode is for you.     We've had a lot of people ask us to share our story. So here's the short version of the long story... how we went from swiping right on Tinder to moving across the country, walking through infertility, and eventually saying yes to foster care and adoption. This isn't a deep dive. The future episodes will break out story into more details. It's just an overview of how we got to where we are now. And if you listen closely... you'll hear us struggling to figure out the whole podcast thing as we go. There's ice clinking, animals making cameos, and a hot mess of a mic situation. (Don't worry... new one coming next episode!) But it feels pretty on brand for us--raw and real and a hot chaotic mess. Thanks for being here!
