    S2 - Gun Control: The Basics - Episode 6

    With the recent increase in violent crime, specifically gun violence, the hosts thought it would be prudent to share with the viewers and listeners, Canada's stance on gun control and regulation, as well as the updates to Bill C21 and comparisons to the laws and regulations of our neighbours down south, the United States. There has been at least gun related homicide in Sudbury every month since December 2022. In 2022 there were 12 homicides. The violent crime rate in Sudbury has gone up 26.6 percent since 2021. The police have received additional funding through the BSCF to combat this. Tune in to find out more!
