    Anxiety Nachos

    Its our first Turdisode! (aka minisode) but actually not mini at all because we don't know how to shut up.  This week we’re skipping the meditation apps and diving into the real ways we soothe our anxious little ADHD brains. Its time for anxiety coping mechanisms Jess & Steph style. Forget meditation (it’s never meditation). Instead we prescribe belting out Celine Dion like we’re headlining Vegas, hosting private car concerts, melting questionable amounts of cheese on chips, exchanging gossip so spicy it should come with a Scoville rating, and sometimes just weaponizing friendship by being a little mean for one glorious second. Is it healthy? Debatable. Is it effective? Absolutely. Is it unhinged? You already know.

    Unhinged.

    What starts as a discussion about ADHD hacks quickly devolves into chaos, invention, and the unsettling realization that one of us should host a cooking show (??). We pitch unmarketable products, forget what we’re doing in real-time, and somehow still manage to offer “advice.” Is any of it useful? That’s between you and your executive function.

    This week we discuss ADHD’s greatest enemies: instructions, directions, and the act of leaving a room. Forgetting things? Constantly. Star Anise? Never in the house when you need it (which is always). We also spiral into how technology has fried our brains, why cut-off jean shorts are an emotional experience, and try to define “bugaboo” with zero success. Were we supposed to stay on topic? Lol, no.

    Finger your Focaccia

    Look, we wish this episode had a clear theme... but it doesn’t. And honestly? That’s kind of our thing. Things begin with some light perimenopause chat—because why not start off sweaty and irritable? Then we veer wildly into the thrilling world of… cities versus townships. Naturally, this leads to my recurring existential dread about phone calls—because nothing says “fun podcast content” like social anxiety in ringtone form. And for our finale we spiral into a mess of failed hobbies, imaginary hobbies, and the delusions that keep us going. Is there a structure? No. Is it entertaining? Debatable. Will you regret listening? Probably not—but I’m not offering refunds if you do.

    Prosecco Doesn't Count

    Oh hey!! Your fave elder millennials are here to talk about... drinking! We dive into our youth and chat about some of our old school (or should I say old skool) partying ways and compare it to our current partying ways. Or lack there of.  In our 20's it was pregaming, funnels, drinking games and going out at 10pm in club attire and no jackets. In our 40's we're hoping for a mellow day drink, wine only, home by 8pm to get a good night rest. We will regale you with tales of some of our stupidest behaviors, bad habits and our top choice in late night power ballads. Grab a drink and come enjoy! And remember... prosecco doesn't count!

    I lost the end of this Podcast

    In true ADHD fashion I actually did lose the end of this podcast. You will hear it just end abruptly and I know we recorded an actual ending, but it is nowhere to be found. ADHD be cool like that.  Today we talk about losing things and forgetfulness. I think we both ask "where is my phone" more than the normal human. Wallets have been lost on cars, purses have left the house empty. We share a few tales of losing things, forgetfulness and then as per usual side quest it and go way off topic.  Enjoy!

    Do I have to pay shipping for the Black Market?

    Oh hey!!! Today we talk about impulse purchasing and online shopping. An ADHDers playground. Most importantly as the title says we will NOT pay shipping. We talk about our obsession with researching new products, taking all the product quizzes, and how subscription products are an ADHDers enemy.  And yes of course we talk about more Costco clothing purchases.  The TJ Maxx, Marshals, Sephora and Ulta impulse purchase section gets us every time. Come join us on our journey of spending money we probably shouldn't and how according to girl math using cash is basically free.

    The Cream Cheese is Now Me

    Stranger Danger

    In this episode we talk about how we do not want to talk to strangers in any situation ever. We absolutely will never ask a store clerk for help. Use the phone to make an appointment? Hard Pass. Can I book online? We are extremely awkward when we are forced to speak to strangers and internally panic at simple everyday things.  And most importantly PLEASE never call us on the actual phone.

We have no idea what we are doing so listen to us try to pick a podcast name, dabble into the world of ADHD hyper focus, ADHD medication shortage and side effects, food and other random topics in our opener episode. This episode has no format, no rules and is truly just a little snippet into how we function.
