OBH is a narrative style podcast that focusses on telling the authentic stories of first generation and non-traditional students and professionals. The first season will focus on medicine and we hope to expand the topics to other professional areas, such as law, veterinarian medicine, and more.     Today’s guest: S/Dr. Indarani Phillip  S/ Dr. Phillip is a first-generation born Indian American and current a fourth-year medical student. Before medical school, she worked full-time as a registered nurse at University Hospital in San Antonio in the medical and transplant intensive care units, alongside cardiothoracic surgery and the cath lab. Today’s guest: S/ Dr. Reagan Loria S/ Dr. Loria is a rising fourth-year medical student who graduated from Baylor University with a degree in Philosophy, focusing on medicine and ethics, and a minor in biology. She is a recipient of the Health Professions Scholarship Program (HPSP) and is currently an officer in the US Navy. As an osteopathic student, she is interested in osteopathic manipulative medicine (OMM), with multiple research projects about the utilization of OMM in the preoperative setting.
