St Olav Waterway / Pyhän Olavin merireitti is a pilgrim’s path from Turku, through the Finnish archipelago and Åland and across the sea to Sweden. Our trail opened with an official ceremony 24.5.2019, this is found on our YouTube channel. In Sweden you can continue the whole way to Trondheim in Norway on existing St. Olav Ways.
This podcast includes interviews, sounds and music. Music and sounds can be found on the playlist and played whilst walking some of the more trafficked parts of the trail. St. Olav Waterway is part of St. Olav Ways, pilgrim paths to Trondheim, an official cultural route of the Council of Europe

Icelandic Runic Songs
Three songs sung in Icelandic or Old Norse. The songs are from the time when the old beliefs and gods were giving way to Christianity. Some celebrate the old ways, others the new, it was a time of great upheaval.
The songs are preformed by Icelandic musician Sigurboði Grétarsson and are either traditional or traditional lyrical poetry performed to music composed by Sigurboði Grétarsson.
These three songs were recorded in Koroinen, the residence of The Bishop of Finland until 1300 and nowadays a cultural centre. Spring 2019. -
