OPC 003: Stacey Godbold - Transitions, Evolution and Transformation

OPC 003: Stacey Godbold - Transitions, Evolution and Transformation

No matter what age you are, we can all get stagnant. However, stagnancy can lead to boredom, and if we’re not careful, boredom can lead to trouble. In today’s Omar Pinto Coaching Podcast, Stacey Godbold, Marketing Guru, Strategist, Visionary and Storyteller shares some incredible insight on where she’s been and how she got to where she is today.
From a young age, Stacey admits she did everything “alcoholically.” As a runner, she spent all her time immersed in her sport, which later took a backseat during her addiction. Years later after she got sober, she began powerlifting and found a community in CrossFit. Little did she know the values she learned in the CrossFit community would come to use years later. Through divorce, losing a career, playing the critic, the teacher, Stacey notes the moments in her life where everything crumbled ultimately led her to being a student of life and asking the important “why’s.”
Why do I keep doing the same old thing?
Stacey had to get to the root cause of why she had to fill her God-shaped hole with distractions, but when we start to feel bored, and pain, it’s an invitation for us to grow, by allowing ourselves to be guided by an external force to give and receive.
Through giving and receiving, the journey of life lands with the knowledge and recognition of who you are. And once we get there, it’s time for us to take that information and transition, evolve, and grow.
Stacey Godbold is a student living in gratitude, sober mom of four, athlete and continues to manifest positive things in her life.

OPC 002: Overcoming the Feeling of Inadequacy As a Parent

OPC 002: Overcoming the Feeling of Inadequacy As a Parent

For many, the joys that come along with being a parent can be equaled out by the stressors and chaos that follow behind. Driven by an innate need to nurture and love, parents can live their lives for others, sacrificing their own hopes and dreams. What if we can’t absorb that unconditional love for ourselves that we give to our children?
When we don’t feel like we’re good enough parents, the anxious thoughts of inadequacy can creep in and affect our thoughts, our parenting, and every aspect of our lives. When we cover these feelings up with a drink to mitigate the fear and the anxiety, we prevent ourselves from processing our true feelings and developing healthier ways to cope with them.
In this week’s Omar Pinto Coaching Podcast, we help Leo crush his powerful and deep limiting beliefs from the emotional wounds of his childhood that reflected his behavior in active addiction as a parent. Leo is still punishing himself, not trusting himself, and unable to see past his limiting beliefs and his behavior. The group helps him recognize his authentic qualities, gifts, and also helps him understand the powerful defense mechanisms he built just to survive, knowing that when things get too hard, we all protect ourselves by avoiding feeling joy and love at all costs.
In this week’s recovery coaching call, you’ll learn:
How to identify negative patterns and belief systems we’ve picked up from our parents How we can tap into our inner child to help our children. How to fully give ourselves the unconditional love we’ve always wanted How we can use the power of naming fears and anxieties out loud to change our actions and thoughts. Top Coach

Omar’s approach gets straight to the heart of the matter. He slices through years of therapy and gets to what -is. He gets to what truly may be holding you back from getting what you really want out of life, family, career -all of it. He has helped me on my life’s journey and I’ve found this podcast to be miraculous.

Excellent

This is so wonderful to hear Omar in a new, yet not so new, space. Omar has a gift of connecting with people and helping others see and become more enlightened through their personal growth. I loved listening to the SHAIR podcast even though I am not an addict myself. I just liked listening to Omar do his thing and hearing how people would share their stories and discover the life lessons that came out of the episodes. I already listened to two episodes of Omar’s new podcast and I already cried while relating to a woman’s story and the connections she made while being coached. I also love how Omar can bring lightheartedness into an emotional moment while still maintaining the integrity of the exercise. Life coaching is a really beautiful tool for personal development and I’m thankful for people like Omar who make space and lead the way.
