You were designed on purpose & for a purpose. No matter what your everyday looks like – God intended for you to go all in. Let's link arms & do it together!
PEACE | Fruit of the Spirit
Peace. What is it? What do you think of or what image comes to mind? This is one of those times when I wish we could be sitting across the table from one another & really talking about what we think of when we think of peace. Because I think that there is something about peace that causes us to all connect to it in a different way. Maybe you think of feeling calm, or maybe you think of silence and stillness. Maybe you envision the beach or a lake, or maybe something else altogether. Maybe you think “world peace” – where there is no more division & unity prevails. Regardless of where you land on what you first think of when you hear peace - today we look at what God says about peace.
Scripture read during today's episode: Isaiah 9:6-7 | Isaiah 32:17-18 | John 14:27 | Philippians 4:6-7 | Romans 5:1 | Psalm 23:1-3 | John 10:1-15

JOY | Fruit of the Spirit
Today we continue our Fruit of the Spirit study, by taking one characteristic at a time & going in depth on what it looks like to live out that aspect intentionally. And this week, we chat all about JOY!
First off, joy is more than happiness. As I have heard it described before, happiness happens to you. It is circumstantial and can change at the drop of a hat. In contrast to that, joy is everlasting. It isn’t dependent upon what is happening around you or what circumstance you find yourself in. Joy is rooted in what God has done & what He has promised that He will do. & Joy isn’t always accompanied by a smile - I have found that joy is connected to the confidence that we have in God – when we fearlessly believe that what He says is true – then joy naturally flows from that posture of heart because we can’t help but know that He will provide. Listen to learn more about how we can embody joy in our day to day lives!
Scripture read during this episode: Galatians 5:22-23 | Psalm 16:5-11 | John 10:10 | Daniel 3 | Nehemiah 8:10 -- Dig deeper & spend some intentional time this week reading through these slowly! Take notes, ask questions, & pray that God will mold you to love how He does!

LOVE | Fruit of the Spirit Series
Today we continue our Fruit of the Spirit study, by taking one characteristic at a time & going in depth on what it looks like to live out that aspect intentionally. And this week, we chat all about LOVE 💗
Love feels the most obvious & definitely the easiest to tackle in terms of God’s character. It’s so easy to hear the attribute of love listed in the Fruit of the Spirit & instantly jump to Jesus and the gospel – I mean, the whole gospel exists in the first place BECAUSE of His great love for us. But just because this may feel obvious & easy to describe – by no means makes it any less complicated because He did all of this for us while we were still sinners. He pursues us out of love day after day – when we have done absolutely nothing to deserve it. Listen to learn more about how we can embody love in our day to day lives, too!
Scripture read during this episode: Deuteronomy 4:31-38 | 1 Corinthians 13:1-13 | 1 John 4:7-21 -- Dig deeper & spend some intentional time this week reading through these slowly! Take notes, ask questions, & pray that God will mold you to love how He does!

Walk by the Spirit | Fruit of the Spirit Intro
In this episode, we are going to lay the groundwork for the Fruit of the Spirit series and talk through the basics of what the Fruit of the Spirit is, where the Fruit of the Spirit comes from, why it is important, and what significance it holds for us – then, over the next few weeks we will take one characteristic at a time & deep dive into scripture to see how Jesus modeled it for us & how we can take steps to purposefully apply it to our lives.
Like I mentioned in the episode, along the way I will recommend some resources for you to deepen your study. The first is this study from She Reads Truth on the Fruit of the Spirit! I went through this study in 2020 and it is SO good! Highly recommend! https://shereadstruth.com/plans/the-fruit-of-the-spirit/
Ephesians 6 | The Armor of God
Finally, be strengthened by the Lord and put on the full armor of God.
Today we will break down what the armor of God is & how it is all we need to face our battles on purpose & for a purpose!
Ephesians 5 | Imitators of God
We are fresh off of Easter weekend & these words are so tender & beautiful. Christ gave himself for us freely – as the final and complete sacrifice to God. No more sacrifices ever to be made or ever needed ever again. It is finished. It is over!
& what does Paul tell us to do? He tells us to imitate this behavior. In the same way that little kids copy the actions of their parents or older siblings – we are to look to God’s example and be His representative to those who are around us. Even more reason to live life on purpose & for a purpose!
Only 1 more week left in our study, so be sure to download the Ephesians reading plan here - https://www.dropbox.com/s/2dgmp1cxl7z8y2u/Ephesians%20Reading%20Plan-01.png?dl=0
