On-T.A.P.

Jeffrey & Shanda

The On-T.A.P. podcast houses our in-depth discussions surrounding topics of faith, spirituality, science, and the philosophies that shape the world we live in both collectively and personally. The topics will challenge how you see yourself and others. How we think, feel, & believe has a profound impact on our interactions, our personal growth, our self worth, and ultimate determines how reality unfolds before our very eyes. This podcast was inspired by our own journeys filled with challenging mindset shifts, spiritual awakenings, and a divine love that set us free from our habitual past that kept us stuck. We pushed back and questioned a long lists of beliefs we'd never really considered to be anything but true. We're still on this life long journey we call The Authentication Process. And the growth of our souls during this life is determined by our ability to engage the very things that challenge who we think we are. Our intentional engagement with the very weight of that pressure is what one day evolves into personal growth, wisdom, compassion, agape love, and inclusion. We welcome your engagement, questions, and topic suggestions. Each podcast description also contains links to watch or listen to that episode on Amazon Music or YouTube. On-T.A.P. Podcast S1E7 -The Weaponization of Religion

The Weaponization of Religion Season One, Episode 7: In this podcast, we talk about some juicy stuff!! Seriously, as a society we've normalized demonizing anyone and everyone who doesn't believe, think, and feel like we do. While this is a slight generalization, it contains so much truth.  Religion has a way of controlling the people who follow that particular religion. Traditions are held up as divine inspiration. Personal convictions of pastors, teachers, and spiritual leaders are placed on the heads of those who follow them. And most anyone can admit that if you have ten people read the same Bible verse, there's a good chance you may get ten different interpretations of the verses read. The problem isn't so much in do we have a difference of interpretation of who God is, what he desires from us, or how we "get saved, stay saved, or become holy", but rather how we feel about those who don't follow our strict understanding of faith and religion. And to make matters worse, we mix faith with politics and that amplifies into justified hate speech, condemnation, fear mongering, or boycotting people, companies, political parties, and anything or anyone else who doesn't live up to our expectations of what a "Christian" (or any other religious faith) should be. We definitely hit a few nerves in this episode. But the intent isn't to condemn those who do these things, but rather to help listeners see the hypocrisy of the actions anyone who feels qualified or holy enough to throw stones at anyone else. We don't have to agree on areas of faith or religion. But to give grace to others to authentically believe and walk out their truths without condemnation is the most freeing trait one can embody. Grab a coffee or a stiff drink cause you might need it for this one! Are you read? Let's Go!

On-T.A.P. Podcast S1E5 - UG - Is a God by any other name still the same?

Is A God By Any Other Name Still The Same? Season One, Episode 5: We continue our series called Un-Defining God with this thought provoking solo hosted episode in which Jeffrey discusses the topic "Is God By Any Other Name Still The Same". How we define, believe, and see the idea of God has a great deal to do with how we view and accept others. While we know there are literally thousands of different religions, beliefs, denominations, and sects that are influenced by various traditions, backgrounds, geographies, races, and nationalities it would be comparable to winning the lottery every day of your life to "pick the right one" if all others were false or untrue.  Most understand God, the divine, the universe, the creator (I'm using these terms purposely as they're discussed in this episode) to be pure love, without judgement, and the creator of all that is. But many, however, also understand this loving God to be one that demands strict obedience and to waver would land one in the pits of hell fire for eternity. This type of thinking is why many feel such pressure to maintain a strict understanding of who God is, what name we call him (it), and why other religious names of or for God are often deemed blasphemous.  I hope you have an open mind as I discuss this topic and that in the end, it will free you from judgement, criticism, hatred, and condemnation of others who's walk with the divine has been different that yours. Be Blessed.
