Kate and Meredith are definitely fan-girling over here. We love Patty Lin, not to mention we are HUGE fans of Judd Apatow's Freaks and Geeks. Reading her newly released book, End Credits, we fell in love with her and her writing style. She is a former TV writer and producer whose credits include Freaks and Geeks, Friends, Desperate Housewives, and Breaking Bad. She has also written pilots for Fox, CBS, and Nickelodeon. In this episode, we discuss not only Patty's book, but her experiences writing for TV shows, and what should change in the industry. We're very excited to introduce you all to Alex Creswick, an intimacy coordinator and film producer based in Los Angeles. The conversations have only begun when it comes to having an advocate on set for intimacy and nudity. It's February! Love is in the air and what's not to LOVE about our favorite Multi Hyphenates: Actor, Producer, Voice Over Artist,Talent Booker and Hosts Extraordinaire Ashley Hearon-Smith and Keri Setaro. This week's guest is someone who has such an invigorating energy that no wonder she has positively defied the frustratingly unshakable industry norms. Naomi is first and foremost a storyteller with a passion to make people feel, but she is also a devoted changemaker for women in the industry. Naomi is someone who has truly taken time to analyze her place in not just this industry, but in the universe, as she puts it, with a realization to create her own balance of happiness and success. Her TED talk, "What it's like to be a woman in Hollywood," has led the path forward for Naomi to be a trailblazer for the parity for which all of us fighting.
