Drew Manning - Intentionally Gaining 60+ Pounds

Have you ever dealt with sugar addiction? Have you ever had to clean up your diet in an attempt to lose some unwanted weight? Have you ever intentionally gained over 60 pounds? Fitness Trainer Drew Manning joins me and discusses two experiences where he stopped working out, and switched from a Paleo/Keto diet to a Standard American Diet. He did this in an attempt to gain as much weight as possible within a shortened timeframe. Why? To develop more empathy for those that he worked with.

    Glucose for Brain Functionality

    Glucose for Brain Functionality

One of the most common statements I hear to discredit a low carb approach is that you need glucose for brain functionality. While that comment is partially true, there is current data that shows that this is also a myth. In this episode we'll dive into ways that the body adapts to the lack of glucose in the system for brain functionality.

Zach Bitter and Jeff Browning Part 2 - Low Carb Lifestyles

Zach Bitter and Jeff Browning are two icons in endurance world for multiple reasons. One of those reasons is their unique approach to nutrition. Both have been following a low carb approach for over 5 years and have learned a lot of valuable lessons over those years. The truth is, a low carb diet is much more complex than just following a strict keto diet. In part 2 we go through more of the benefits that we've all seen by following this lifestyle, as well as our thoughts on if this way of eating could hypothetically work for everyone.

If you love pushing your limits so much it becomes your obsession. This is the podcast for you. Mike is elite at what he does and brings on other experts that are in the same stratosphere as him that do unfathomable feats of human achievment. If you need a coach or are just looking for quality content, stop your search. You’re in the right spot

Finally, a long runner who’s not long winded.

Ultrarunning podcasts desperately need some options that aren’t an hour or more per episode. Mike understands that, though has had some great guests (Browning, Bitter) that make it hard. His goal is 20-30 minutes and our community needs that. As a host he’s humble, asks great questions, and lets his guests speak. This is my new favorite ultra podcast.
