We do not refer to attacks or symptoms of Migraine as ¨migraines¨ or ¨a migraine¨. We refer to them as Migraine attacks, episodes, flares, or symptoms. Why? Migraine disease is a chronic neurological condition that causes a brain to be sensitive and reactive to triggers, causing attacks and symptoms to occur. When we refer to Migraine attacks as ¨migraines¨ or ¨a migraine¨ it implies that attacks are acute, repetitive, singular, events, rather than being caused by a chronic, complex neurological condition that the brain is always navigating. Please be aware that our guests might not always use the same language when speaking about Migraine. Please be patient, we are all learning together.
