    Episode 86 - Unrelated Ghosts 4

    Welcome to another Unrelated Ghosts episode where we dive into two locations that have nothing in common with one another. Nothing except that they’re both haunted, of course. First, we’ll visit the fascinating story of Eastern Airlines Flight 401. The fatal flight caused a global transformation in airline safety, but the thing people remember the most is the ghosts that people began to see after the airline recycled some of the parts from the crash and used them in other planes in the fleet. The next stop on our unrelated haunts tour will take us to Hales Bar Dam on the Tennessee River near Chattanooga. The dam is home to footsteps that seem to be more than just residual and a ghost that demands you not leave your trash behind. This place is dam haunted—see what I did there? Lol.     Episode 85 - Haunted Road Trip: Manchester

    It’s once again time to pack the Ope, A Ghost Van, for a haunted road trip—but this time, we’re going to need a boat, because we’re crossing the Atlantic to explore the haunted city of Manchester, England. A huge thank-you to our Manc friend Zoe for the invitation! We’ve traveled to some seriously haunted locations over the years, but Manchester ranks near the very top of our list of the most haunted cities we’ve ever visited. We’ll kick off our tour deep beneath the city, exploring Manchester’s mysterious underground tunnels where the Phantom Doctor is said to roam. Then, speaking of doctors, we’ll head to Barnes Hospital, where a ghostly nurse is said to wander the halls—and the faint sobbing of children can be heard echoing through the old ward. You’ll also hear the ghastly tale of Hannah Beswick, better known as the Manchester Mummy, whose bizarre and chilling story has become one of the city’s most infamous legends.     Episode 84 - Haunted Lighthouses

    Lighthouses have been around for more than 2200 years, lighting the way for ships and warning of shallow waters. For most of that time, lighthouses required a human operator: someone to manage the light. The light keeper was a dedicated person, often serving the light for a decade or more. With that kind of devotion, is it any wonder many of them are haunted? In this episode, we visit six such lighthouses. In Michigan we’ll visit one that’s home to a keeper known to enjoy cheap cigars and another where a child’s barefoot apparition wanders. We’ll drop in at Long Island Sound where a dark history permeated the lighthouse. Lastly, we’ll visit a Maryland lighthouse where disembodied voices hang in the air and where singing and laughter have been heard on several occasions.     Episode 83 - Pascagoula Aliens

    The autumn of 1973 saw a wave of UFO sightings across the country, but especially in the south. While many of those sightings were mere lights in the sky, some were much more. One in particular stands out among the rest. On a warm October evening in Pascagoula, Mississippi, Charles Hickson and Calvin Parker were fishing on the Pascagoula River when they were interrupted by a strange light. At first, they thought the police had come to chase them off the run-down property. What followed would come to be known as the Pascagoula Incident and stands as one of the most widely publicized alien abduction stories since the Barney and Betty Hill story came out less than a decade before. Since then, several witnesses have come forward to corroborate Charlie and Calvin’s story including a local sheriff who secretly recorded the men and their tale.     In this wild episode, Heaven surprises Jonathan with a special guest: our friend Corey from the Good Chat with CW podcast. We’ve been on Corey’s podcast a few times, so it’s way past due that Corey come on Ope, A Ghost and tell us about his experiences at some of New England’s most famous haunted locations. Stay tuned for Paranormal News, and Heaven takes us on a visit to the Bull’s Head Inn in Cobleskill, New York where poltergeist activity abounds.     Episode 81 - Haunted Midwest

    The Midwest hides its darkness well — tucked between cornfields, covered bridges, and quiet main streets. But if you know where to look, the past refuses to stay buried. In this week's episode, we venture deep into the heart of America to investigate two locations where history and horror walk hand in hand. Our first stop is Billie Creek Village, a living history museum just outside Rockville, Indiana — home to over 30 historic buildings, three covered bridges, and more than a century's worth of untold stories. By day, it's a charming step back into 19th-century rural life. But when the lights go out and the tour groups leave, visitors and staff have reported flickering shadows, disembodied voices, and the unsettling feeling that the residents of Billie Creek never quite left. Then, we’ll head to Detroit to visit, and maybe dine, at the David Whitney House, simply known as The Whitney, a mansion-turned-restaurant. After we have a drink in the Ghost Bar, we’ll be on the lookout for the mysterious woman in the bathroom. The second floor is haunted by the ghosts of children who can be heard laughing and playing. No visit to the Whiteny would be complete without a visit to the carriage house where a table has been set up in deference to one of the Whitney daughters, Grace. On the rare occasion that Grace’s tea set has been relocated, the haunted activity increases. It’s best to leave Grace’s table alone.     Episode 80 - Aradale and Pennhurst

    Do you hear that? That slow, rhythmic creak — is it a wheelchair finding its way down an empty corridor, or a gurney that’s been still for decades? Tonight, we're walking into two abandoned hospitals where the past refuses to stay quiet. First, we visit Aradale Lunatic Asylum in Victoria, Australia, where the case of one patient was so extraordinary that the state passed legislation specifically to confine him to its grounds. It seems even death couldn't change that. Then we cross the Pacific and the country to Pennhurst State School and Hospital in Pennsylvania — once called The Shame of Pennsylvania — where a 1968 exposé revealed conditions so disturbing that the public outcry eventually forced its closure.
