EP.8 OPEN ACCESS, OPEN MIC WITH DR JUDITH FEINBERG

On this episode, Founder and CEO Lynn Madden speaks with Dr Judith Feinberg. In this episode, we speak with Judith Feinberg, an infectious disease physician whose career has been defined by leadership in HIV/AIDS research, treatment, and prevention. She has held senior academic positions at the University of Cincinnati and West Virginia University, where she combined frontline clinical care with leadership in NIH-funded HIV clinical trials. While in Cincinnati, she also helped establish the Cincinnati Exchange Project, Ohio’s first syringe services program. Her work has consistently focused on translating research into practical public health action, particularly for communities affected by substance use and infectious disease risk. Feinberg has played a major role in shaping HIV treatment guidelines and advancing harm-reduction strategies to reduce HIV and hepatitis C transmission. She is the only person to have chaired both the HIV Medicine Association and the American Academy of HIV Medicine, and has served on multiple federal and state advisory bodies addressing HIV/AIDS, hepatitis C, and the opioid crisis. She also collaborates on the Birch Project in West Virginia alongside Lynn Madden and Rick Altice. The APT Foundation has been committed to the promotion of health and recovery since 1970. www.aptfoundation.org Connect with Dr Lynn Madden: https://www.linkedin.com/in/lynn-madden-9b2aa18/ Connect with Dr Judith Feinberg: https://www.linkedin.com/in/judith-feinberg-ab354111a This podcast is produced by Red Rock Branding: www.redrockbranding.com
