Order 66 is a podcast devoted to the d20 system of role playing games and specifically to Star Wars Saga Edition. We talk classes, races, mechanics and have a few funny bits along the way.     The Order 66 Podcast Episode 142 - Adversarial Activists

    The GMs return for another dive into the Fractured Republic, an entirely new Star Wars era and setting being created live on the Order 66 Podcast. This episode, Phil and Chris focus heavily on the adversarial factions in the Fractured Republic, detailing eleven villainous groups of piracy, mayhem, mercenary acuity, skulduggerous crime, dark secrets, and authoritarian power. The hosts also dive into how to best utilize each of these adversary groups in your own Fractured Republic games! This is followed up with a head-scratching White Board segment on bringing Cortosis into the Fractured Republic era, in new and exciting ways, and then some answers to listener questions about defense stacking and force die committing. All in all, a juicy episode filled with too much Gen Alpha speak, and just the right amount of obscure early 90s references.

    The Order 66 Podcast Episode 141 - Galactic Rangers 101

    We return again to the Fractured Republic on this episode, as the hosts explore their in-creation Star Wars era and campaign setting with a deep dive into one of the major heroic organizations the PCs can belong to: The Galactic Rangers. With a dash of history, deeper relationships to major galactic powers, operational structure, funding, and a few notable locations, discussion then turns to how the Rangers operate, what missions they are likely to undertake, and how players and GMs can enter their ranks and use them in their own games. We also return to the new White Board segment to discuss a new potential wrinkle in the New Jedi Order of the Fractured Republic era, and then round out our rather lengthy episode with some listener Q&A on noticing a sniping enemy, and very damaging talent. Afterwards, join us for a post-show spoiler-filled discussion of Episodes 1 through 4 of The Acolyte.

    The Order 66 Podcast Episode 140 - The Powers That Be

    Back in the hot seat and continuing to navigate through the wild space regions of a new era, GM Chris and GM Phil return to world building for their new custom designed era for Star Wars, the Fractured Republic. The hosts dive into a brief history lesson, then paint a picture of the six major galactic powers in this new, future era - as well as dipping the brush into two major PC-focused factions. New Jedi Orders, Galactic Rangers, Republics, Corellian Alliances, corporatocracies, iron blocks, Hutt progressives, Mandalorian mysteries... and so, so much more. Also, a new segment - The White Board - is introduced, as the hosts discuss and build out a key area of Fractured Republic; this time, a “station” to serve as a meeting place and ambassadorial locale for the galaxy.

    After light-years away from the airwaves, the Order 66 Podcast returns with a new vigor, a new mission, and a set of gaming goals in a galaxy far, far away. GM Chris and GM Phil prepare to launch a series of new episodes all about building a brand new era and setting in the Star Wars universe: The Fractured Republic. This episode sets the stage with a lengthy and deeply passionate discussion of the eras of Star Wars, the themes that game masters and players should think about and embrace for each era, and then sees the hosts bring these themes to task as the first step in defining the timeline and storytelling goals of the new Fractured Republic setting. We also answer some excellent listener questions, and spend a fair bit of time in post-show discussion on everything from The Acolyte teaser to a spoiler-filled review of the Fallout series. It’s so good to be back!

    The Order 66 Podcast is back at you with a return to our classic The Force Will Be With You segment where we deep dive into a specific force power. This episode, by listener request, we tackle one of the most versatile and potent powers: Ebb / Flow. Not only do we discuss the RP aspects and game mechanics of this often underestimated force option, but we also dive into how both players and GMs can make the best use of Ebb / Flow at their tables. We also return to the dark-shrouded halls of When Good Games Go Bad with a question from a GM dealing with wallflower players, and answer a couple of burning listener questions about competing narrative player actions and about utilizing cross-core careers in conjunction.

    The Order 66 Podcast Episode 136 - Toil and Trouble

    Double, Double, Toil and Trouble, Lightsabers Burn and Sith Lords Bubble! The Order 66 Podcast stirs the old cauldron in this episode to brew up a fresh episode devoted to the full ins and outs of Sith Alchemy (or just Alchemy) in your games. From the various Alchemical Potion and Talisman recipes in the rules, through to a full crafting guide, and then how to properly and most enjoyably add Alchemy into your own games, from both a player and GM perspective. We also return to dingy shelves of Watto’s Black Market with a related and requested dive into the Potion of Wills and some crazy campaign ideas. And finally, we tackle some long awaited and deep listener questions about how to confront a GM with a tough rules call, and expanding and reworking a house-rule about calling on the Dark Side of the Force.

    The Order 66 Podcast Episode 135 - The Rise of Starship Combat

    The Order 66 Podcast returns with a massive episode that sees a unique return to the vehicle and starship combat mechanics of Star Wars - done in a completely different system. For this special episode, the hosts welcome special guest GM Hooly, as we spend three hours focusing on the upscaled narrative dice mechanics of vehicle combat in the successor system to Star Wars: the Genesys Roleplaying game. By listener request, we dive into just what the differences between the two systems are, and what about the Genesys vehicle ruleset make starship combat faster, more engaging, simpler, and more fun at the table. We go step by step to walk you through the conversion process to include these amazing mechanics into your Star Wars games, and even put it all into practice with an hour-long live starship encounter on the air, using the Genesys vehicle rules. This episode was months in the making, with a lot of research, planning, and much playtesting. We hope you all enjoy it as much as we did!
