An American Girl - Tammy Marie Albertson

Who killed Tammy Albertson?   Tammy Albertson was a vivacious 16 year old living in ruralWheeler, Tillamook county, Oregon. She had been dropped off by her stepfather at a phone booth outside of town to call her boyfriend to come pick her up – she had said they were going to spend the day together. At the phone booth at theconvenience store is the last verified sighting of her. Almost a full year later, her body was found approximately 20 miles away in the Tillamook State Forest, in an area called God’s Valley. The medical examiner determined that she has suffered blunt force trauma as the cause of death, and that the manner of death was homicide.   Who killed Tammy? Was it her stepfather, Jack Jamison? Was it her boyfriend? Was it someone else in her orbit? Or could it have been … a serial killer?   She died over 30 years ago – is there still a chance that this case can be solved?   We will get into all of this, and more, in this episode of our podcast.   oregonepodcast@gmail.com https://www.facebook.com/oregonepodcast/ https://www.instagram.com/oregonepod/   Tillamook CountySheriff’s Office: https://www.tillamookcounty.gov/sheriff 5995 Long Prairie Rd.Tillamook, OR 97141 Phone: 503-842-2561 Fax: 503-815-3399 Detective Michelle Brewer 503-815-3320 mbrewer@co.tillamook.or.us.   References:   https://www.tillamookheadlightherald.com/news/information-sought-in-unsolved-murder-of-tammy-albertson/article_4b59dfbe-10a2-11ea-a3f6-a7fe0dd16012.html   https://www.thenewsguard.com/news_paid/searching-for-the-missing-pieces/article_06f8f850-0ce0-11e2-8053-001a4bcf887a.html https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/97228026/tammy_marie-albertson   https://www.tillamookheadlightherald.com/news/still-waiting-for-answers/article_6e180b26-54c6-11e0-b054-001cc4c03286.html   https://www.tillamookheadlightherald.com/news/tammy-albertson-case-sister-seeks-answers/article_805465e0-010a-11ec-a9cb-4f484a43d602.html

Smiling Faces, Sometimes - Gayle LeClair

Who killed Gayle LeClair?   Gayle LeClair was a vivacious 22 year old who had graduated from Community College and was living in Eugene, working at the Eugene Public Library. On the morning of August 23rd 1973 she did not show up to work. Her supervisor went to her house to check on her and found that she had been murdered. It was the literal definition of overkill; she had been stabbed more than 50 times.     Who killed Gayle? Was it the guy she had gone on a date with the night previously? Was it the lawyer and former assistant District Attorney that she rented the cottage from? Was it someone else in her orbit? Or could it have been … Ted Bundy? Even scarier, could it be a previously unidentified serial killer?   Is there any hope of solving this case that is over 50 years old at this point?   We will get into all of this, and more, on this episode of our podcast. Cherry Bomb - Angela Chan

Where is Angela Chan (née Carlstrom)?   Married 19 year old Angela was reevaluating her life. She no longer wanted to be married to her husband Bruce. In fact, she was already engaged to a different man. Bruce came up on Easter weekend 1989, and Angela’s mother had told her to make sure Bruce knew, in no uncertain terms, that the marriage was over. Bruce and Angela went trap shooting near her hometown of Redmond, OR. Bruce claims that he dropped her off at home, and then drove back down to southern California to Camp Pendleton, where he was stationed as a Marine lieutenant. But Angela was never seen again. Did Bruce kill her? Was she the victim of a random assailant? Could she have decided to start a new life?   We will get into all of this, and more, on this episode of our podcast.   References:   https://sheriff.deschutes.org/divisions/detectives/cold-cases/   https://www.doenetwork.org/cases/997dfor.html   https://namus.nij.ojp.gov/case/MP12063   https://charleyproject.org/case/angela-lynn-chan   https://www.facebook.com/HaveYouSeenMeCentralOregon/   https://uncovered.com/cases/angela-chan   https://oag.ca.gov/missing/person/angela-lynn-chan   https://ktvz.com/news/2015/02/12/26-year-mystery-what-happened-to-redmond-teen/   https://ktvz.com/news/crime-courts/2022/02/08/still-searching-for-answers-five-cold-cases-being-investigated-in-deschutes-county/   https://www.bendbulletin.com/localstate/bringing-cold-cases-to-life/article_b0a85355-8ce3-58a9-9a87-78c6c18f28c3.html
