Every so often, I have a conversation on the podcast that really sticks with me, inspires me, and makes me grateful to have a platform to share it. This was one of those conversations. This week, I had the pleasure of speaking with Tenijah Hamilton of Bring Birds Back, a podcast about the joy of birds and the way humans can help them through simple, everyday actions. Tenijah is a writer, and executive and creative producer with a passion for using the transformative art of storytelling to instigate change.

This episode, part 2 of the relationship series, explores the lessons and experiences that shape what I’m referring to as a “conscious relationship.” The first part of this series, episode 62, revealed the types of relationships and patterns that my partner David and I were in before we met. This episode brings you into our current relationship dynamics and what we’ve learned about ourselves and each other in the four and a half years of our partnership.

Love this podcast

I found this podcast in August and am
currently working my way through a series of mini binges, lol. This is a podcast for anyone interested in holistic self-care, thoughtful conversation and deep immersion into the elements of the natural world. You’ll find topics ranging from food, nutrition, self-care, multiple healing modalities, Ayurveda, and being in nature, to consciousness, Vedic astrology, and rejecting mainstream ideas on what constitutes a desirable body. Every guest is special - an expert in their field, yet who also radiates love, kindness, compassion and clarity. I have spent a lot of my life uncomfortable in nature (having lived my whole life in busy cities until I moved to a ruralish area in 2020) and this podcast speaks to me on so many levels. I am slowly working towards embracing nature and finding ways to soothe my psyche by being in its presence. I am looking forward to more offerings from this series - wishing there was a book or online program I could do from No. Colorado - so many ideas, I need some direction! Thank you so much for creating this.

True Gem

Alyssa speaks directly to my heart. I am so so glad I found a podcast and a community of like minded individuals who care deeply about our connection to ourselves and to nature. It is a breath of fresh air, a listing of peace and every episode brings me closer to nature.

I can’t wait to follow along and see what continues to unfold in the journey of remembering just how deep our connection to nature really is.

I feel connected to nature just by listening

When was the last time you thought

that a podcast host was a good listener?

yet, that was the first striking and most

startling observation I made listening to

the show.

Alyssa Benjamin genuinely enjoys listening,

learning and blooming through her conversations

with her guests and it's evident in every episode.

She is both a student and teacher of all things

nature.

As a first time mom my days are filled with “frantic

squirrel-esq” activity-and my night time Ritual

has become my-daily reprieve.

I discovered that listening to this podcast doing

my nightly regimen allows me to be calm, relaxed,

insightful and feel connected to nature just by

listening!

As an Eastern world medical doctor. I often have

felt quite unable to Relate to western medicine and

practices.. Living and training in a rural village with

unreliable running water and electricity, extreme

poverty in residents of the village, I learned to

treat with my hands, not technology.

The our Nature podcast makes me feel nostalgic.

It's also been... life changing. Here are some inspired changes

I've made:

I. mindful breakfasts with my son looking out

on our lake. No technology.

2. sitting on grass, walking barefoot on grass daily

3. Intentionally slowing down to observe Florida

Wildlife

love the show and I hope It continues forever!

Thank you Alyssa Benjamin for bringing nature into

my life.
