    56. Pathy Valiente, Breast Cancer Survivor, Proud Latina Woman, Advocate for Early Detection, & 2024 Calendar Ambassador for Here for The Girls, Inc.

Our guest is Pathy Valiente, a Breast Cancer Survivor, Proud Latina Woman, Advocate for Early Detection, and 2024 Calendar Ambassador for Here for The Girls, Inc. (aka Ms. May). She shares her journey of moving from El Salvador away from all her family with her husband, who was an active-duty United States Navy Sailor before discovering her diagnosis. Pathy explains that having breast cancer caused her to advocate for early detection and support those who have minimal knowledge of the disease or who need assistance. Her experience of being denied medical attention for not having childcare has created a passion for helping those with the exact needs. Additionally, her influence has impacted other women and her 11-year-old son's decision to join in advocacy. Pathy continues to join forces with her pink sisters to ensure voices are heard, and changes are made for those contending with this dreaded disease.
