Co Parenting: Part 2/4: Deborah Linton, Journalist
In this episode, we talk about new dynamics within parenting that are shaping families. Co parenting is a phenomenon where people meet on a matching website to become parents together in a non-romantic couple. 'In a world where biological science and equal rights have diversified ways to start a family, platonic co-parenting – the decision to have a child with someone you are not romantically involved with and, in most cases, choose not to live with – remains a relatively new phenomenon' (Deborah Linton, 2020). However, it is a phenomenon that is gathering popularity, with 58% of unmarried mothers considering raising a child with someone who isn’t a romantic partner (Marie Claire, 2020)
We interview Deborah Linton (https://twitter.com/deblinton?lang=en), a journalist who has written for The Guardian, Vogue and The Times amongst other titles. We came across Deborah's work when an article on co-parenting caught our eye.
