Outgrowing The Truth

The Truth, The Way, The Two by Two’s and the Cooneyites, are just some of the names that this secretive christian sect goes by. "God is looking for a people for his name, not a name for his people" my dad would always say. This is my story about growing up in such a household in South Florida in the 90's. I’ll talk about the quirks of such a lifestyle and share juicy stories like hiding the tv in the closet before mom came home and the strange pull of conventions; close to a thousand people communing together on sprawling acres of a rural Florida farm.
