Ep. 91: Luke Moon - The Current and Future State of Israel
For over 6 months, conflict has ravaged the Middle East. It seems it wasn't enough for Israel to fight one enemy, but recently Iran launched 800 missiles at them, furthering the chaos and destruction in Israel. Host Joseph Backholm is joined by Luke Moon, executive director of the Philos Project, for a conversation surrounding the current and future state of Israel. Starting from the beginning, Luke and Joseph analyze the Biden administration's shifting support of Israel and the constant public call for a ceasefire. For decades, there has been a strange and irrational hatred toward Jewish people, the worldwide scapegoat. In this war, there is one clear victim: Israel. Listen now for a current update on the war and an estimate of how long this conflict will last.

Ep. 90: Surrogacy - A Moral Argument with Katy Faust
Children are not something to be purchased. Host Joseph Backholm is joined by Katy Faust, founder of Them Before Us for a moral discussion on the topic of surrogacy. Unlike adoption, there are few regulations in the world of surrogacy. Katy explains the dynamic and effects that all three types of mothers have on the child, surrogacy tourism, and the Uniformed Parentage Act. Ep. 88: Solar Eclipse - Doomsday or Intentional Design?
On April 8th, 2024, a total eclipse graced a portion of the North American skies, completely blocking out the sun for 4 minutes and 28 seconds. Many gazed up at the sun (with their solar eclipse approved sunglasses of course) with awe and wonder, but a surprising number of people were fearful, believing this scientific phenomenon to be a sign of the end of the world. Host Joseph Backholm is joined by Jay Richards, co-author of The Privileged Planet, for an honest discussion of the meaning of an eclipse and how to think biblically about it. A long-time eclipse tracker, Jay shares his knowledge of what causes an eclipse and how this unique solar experience is evidence of an intentional Creator. Epic interview with Ukrainian pastor
Joseph, your interview with Ukrainian Pastor Gennadiy Mokhnenko was riveting. Every American pastor and Christian, for that matter, should listen to this before we all find ourselves in the same regretful “We tried to warn you” crisis. Pastor Mokhnenko is so right: we should not use the rejection of man as an excuse for not speaking the truth. That is exactly what Jesus said would happen and, yet, he still said GO!
Good information.
Not every guest is terrific but I gain a lot from this podcast.
