    Matthew 10:26-39

In this episode of The Overflow Podcast, the team reflects on Baptism Sunday, the power of testimony, and what it means to publicly confess Christ with our lives. The conversation moves through Philippians, personal stories of obedience and repentance, and Jesus’ words in Matthew 10:26-39 about fear, persecution, loyalty, and taking up your cross. We talk about: * Why every testimony matters * What baptism reveals about transformation * The difference between fearing man and fearing God * How obedience can change the direction of your life * Why following Jesus may cost you comfort, relationships, or approval * What it means to take up your cross daily * How Jesus calls us to bold, faithful, public allegiance Whether you have followed Jesus for years or are still wrestling with what it means to surrender your life to Him, this episode is a reminder that Jesus is worth everything. Matthew 9:27-38

In this episode of The Overflow Podcast, we dive into Matthew 9:27–38 and unpack one of the most urgent and often misunderstood teachings of Jesus: the harvest. What did Jesus really mean when He said “the harvest is plentiful”? This passage reveals more than opportunity. It points to judgment, eternity, and the reality of people who are spiritually lost and in need of a shepherd. But what stands out most is Jesus’ response. He is not overwhelmed or distant. He is moved with deep compassion. Even more surprising is His instruction. Instead of immediately telling His followers to go, Jesus tells them to pray. The solution to the shortage of laborers is not hustle or strategy. It is prayer. In this episode, we talk about: • The true meaning of “the harvest” in Matthew 9 • How the harvest connects to judgment and eternity • Why Jesus is moved with compassion for people • The power and priority of prayer in God’s Kingdom • What it means to be a laborer in today’s world This conversation will challenge how you see evangelism, prayer, and your role in reaching others. If you want to grow deeper in your faith, understand Scripture in context, and be stirred to action, this episode is for you. Matthew 8:1-14

What do Jesus’ first miracles in Matthew 8 reveal about His authority? In this episode of the Overflow Podcast, we walk through Matthew 8:1–14 and the surrounding miracles, exploring three powerful moments in Jesus’ ministry: the healing of the leper, the centurion’s servant, and Peter’s mother-in-law. Each miracle reveals something deeper about who Jesus is and the authority He carries. With a touch, a word, and even from a distance, Jesus demonstrates power over sickness, impurity, and human limitations. Why did Jesus touch the leper? Why was He amazed by the faith of the centurion? What does Peter’s mother-in-law’s healing show us about responding to Jesus? These stories aren’t just accounts of healing. They reveal the compassion, authority, and kingdom power of Christ. Join us as we unpack how these miracles point to Jesus’ authority over disease, His willingness to restore the outcast, and the kind of faith that trusts His word. In this episode we discuss: • The healing of the leper and what it reveals about Jesus’ compassion • Why Jesus touching the leper was so significant • The faith of the Roman centurion and Jesus’ authority to heal with a word • What made the centurion’s faith so remarkable • The healing of Peter’s mother-in-law and her immediate response to serve • What these miracles teach us about the authority of Christ Scripture: Matthew 8:1-14 👍 If this conversation encouraged you, like, subscribe, and share so more people can encounter the truth of God’s Word.
