    Washington State Football Stumbles in Second Half, Falls 24-20 to JMU Washington State Cougars football suffered a heartbreaking 24-20 loss to the James Madison Dukes on Saturday, squandering a halftime lead in Harrisonburg. Despite a strong start, the WSU offense sputtered late, dropping the Cougars to 5-6 on the 2025 college football season. Quarterback Zevi Eckhaus led Washington State with 171 passing yards and two total touchdowns, including a 4-yard rushing score that put the Cougs up 17-10 at the break.
