East Village Times pure padres

I love this podcast! James Clark and Patrick Brewer are true Padre fans!! Each episode has stayed on talk about the padres. Other SD podcasts can steer talk about beer and irrelevant banter mixed in with negative talk about the current direction of the team and the padres players that they have on their tank league roster. The boys at EVT have embraced a positive yet cautious attitude towards the direction of the organization. A few of the guest they have had so far this season long time MLB writer Bernie Wilson, new padre beat writer AJ Cassavel, prospect analyst Eric Longerhagen, have all had excellent and informative insight on the current state of The Padres team and organization. The hosts are not as polished as other podcasters are with their conversations but I expect them to continue to grow as hosts with time and experience. They have a hip new intro which I find creative and catchy, wrapping about the team and host. With 34 episodes under their belt this dynamic duo are on their way to what I think is a solid second season. Keep it up gents and Go Padres!!!

Consistency wins the day

Of the handful of Padres podcasts, James and Patrick are the most consistent. Before this past year, I never paid much attention to minor league ball, but with the way the club has been playing, it's nice to find hope in the future. EVT focuses most of their attention on the future and the minors, and that's made me a much more informed fan. Furthermore, besides releasing shows often (and therefore, giving this Pads fan abroad a sense of being part of the tribe even though I can't go to games), they also stay mostly positive. It seems like most Pads podcasts love to slam the organization and fans and hope in general. These guys keep me happy. Thanks! Oh, and yeah, BRING BACK THE BROWN
