    New Zealand's most golden Olympic Games come to a close with 10 gold medals, seven silver and three bronze. Ellesse Andrews and Ally Wollaston secured gold and bronze on the last day of the Paris Olympics to sew up New Zealand's best ever effort at the Olympics. New Zealand ended with 10 gold medals, a new record surpassing the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics. And their 20 total medals was equal with the Tokyo Olympics in 2021, but with more gold in the mix.     New Zealand uniforms are now black, white and gold after Dame Lisa Carrington, Lydia Ko and Hamish Kerr win gold medals on a thrilling day of Olympic action. Gold, gold, gold. New Zealand now has nine Olympic gold medals at the 2024 Paris Olympics, breaking the record of eight set at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics. It comes after a thrilling night of Olympic action in which Dame Lisa Carrington won her third gold medal of these Games, in the K1 500m, future dame Lydia Ko won the women's golf tournament, and Hamish Kerr won the men's high jump.     Dame Lisa Carrington teams with Alicia Hoskin to win her 7th Olympic gold medal, while Maddi Wesche stunned the field for silver in the shot put. Ahh my Dame, you've done it again! Dame Lisa Carrington has claimed her second gold medal of the Paris Olympics, and the 7th of her Olympic career, winning the K2 500m final alongside team mate Alicia Hoskin. It was also Hoskin's second gold of the Games, having been part of the victorious K4 500m a day earlier. At the track and field, Maddi Wesche made a personal best throw to claim the silver medal in a thrilling shot put final.     Double gold in Paris in kayaking and track cycling

    New Zealand wins double gold overnight, in the K4 500m on the water, and Ellesse Andrews dominated the women's keirin. New Zealand has won two gold medals and a bronze at the Olympic Games overnight. Ellesse Andrews won the women's Keirin at the velodrome in a dominant final performance. Andrews adds to the silver medal she won in the women's team sprint earlier in the week. She's now an Olympic and World Champion in the format. And the women's K4 500m team won New Zealand's fourth gold medal of the Paris Games. The team of Dame Lisa Carrington, Alicia Hoskin, Olivia Brett and Tara Vaughan held off Germany and Hungary to claim the gold medal, the sixth gold medal of Dame Lisa's Olympic career. Sailors Erica Dawson and Micah Wilkinson, have also won Olympic bronze in the Nacra mixed multihull in Marseille.     Finn Butcher stunned the field in the kayak cross final to claim the gold medal, New Zealand's third of the Paris Olympics. Dunstan High School has its first Olympic gold medallist in kayak cross champion Finn Butcher. Butcher stunned the field in the final with an exceptional start, and he never gave up the lead. He won New Zealand's third gold medal of the Games. Soon after the women's team sprint of Rebecca Petch, Shaane Fulton and Ellesse Andrews won silver at the velodrome.     Noah Lyles wins Paris Olympics men's 100m final in photo finish

    American Noah Lyles wins the marquee men's 100m final at the Paris Olympics. The men's 100m sprint final will be remembered as one of the best ever at the Paris Olympics, ending in a dramatic photo finish. Noah Lyles of the United States dipped across the line to claim the gold medal ahead of Jamaican Kishane Thompson.
