    As a former track star who graduated 11 years ago from Minnetonka high school located in Minnetonka, MN. Rashad Cohen is more than a standout hurdler and football player. He brings a message of hope as a transformational speaker whose personal experiences, and passionate commitment to share the treasures of his teaching, will motivate you to discover your fullest potential. Are you ready? Rashad lived out of a backpack for a year after attending South Carolina State University an HBCU (Historically Black College University). He traveled to 14 different countries across 4 continents serving an array of various cultures and people. His mission is to spread love, hope, and unity through easy to use applications.     Markus Flynn - Black Men Teach

    Dominique "Mr. Neek" Pierre-Toussaint (ICA Director of Community Relations) sits down with Markus Flynn (Executive Director of Black Men Teach Twin Cities) to share his journey. Black Men Teach  mission  is to recruit, prepare, place and retain Black male teachers in elementary schools. Black Men Teach vision is that all students have the opportunity to attend schools staffed with racially and culturally diverse teacher and leaders, reflecting the students race, ethnicity and cultures, thereby creating an environment that affirms students for whom they are. Black Men Teach creates the environment and conditions where Black male teachers can thrive, because our children’s schooling experience will never be complete without them.     Attorney Lee Hutton

    "This is one of those moments when I realized, that I’ve been blessed to call the newly appointed AFL Commissioner- Attorney Lee A. Hutton and my PARLE co-host Jen Westmoreland my friends. It has been a joy to watch these two individuals become the impactful community leaders I knew they would become." - Dominique "Mr. Neek" Pierre-Toussaint JW and Mr. Neek had the pleasure of sitting down with the newly appointed AFL (Arena Football League) Commissioner. The more significant news in the announcement was, Attorney Hutton becoming the first Black commissioner to spearhead a professional sports league in the United States, according to the league.  Hutton served as an attorney that has represented both Fortune 500 companies as well as athletes, celebrities, and artists in contract negotiations. Over the course of his career, Hutton has worked on high-profile cases, ranging from NFL concussion litigation to NCAA NIL legal cases.     Al Nuness

    Three is the magic number, yes it is and in this third episode of PARLE, Jen and I sit down with the University of Minnesota Gopher HOF Albert Nuness (Founder of INVICTUS), Most male athletes at Hopkins high school Minnetonka, MN can say, at one point in time, that they wanted to play in the NBA. One former faculty member at Hopkins Public Schools can check that off a list of things he has done with his life. Al Nuness former Paraprofessional, is a name some Hopkins high school students would not know, but if someone were to mention the man who, on most days, wears a jumpsuit you would know who they are talking about. Nuness is in fact a former NBA player, but has a whole different set of skills he likes to share about. After two years in Junior College at Iowa Central, Albert Nuness committed to the Gophers after a visit from a prominent former U of M alumnus. At the University of Minnesota Al Nuness was an All-Big Ten player and team captain in the 1968-69 season, scoring 740 points in just two years and averaging 15.4 points per game as a Gopher. On Oct. 20, 2016 Nuness was inducted into the University of Minnesota Hall of Fame.
