Have you ever wanted to be a fly on the wall in a dance studio at one of the most prestigious ballet companies in the world? 178 - The Differences Between Visibility and Success
Oftentimes, social media influencers are looked upon as famous, important, and successful. While their curated feeds exaggerate their finest qualities, offer careful insight into struggles they want you to see, and expand upon their feelings of self-importance as a voice with a platform, it doesn't necessarily equate to them being successful in their field or having the qualities to achieve their goals.
In this week's episode, Barry discusses the differences and similarities between visibility and success. Listen in for a chat on how they can be entirely separate or interwoven and how visibility has shifted from the work of organizations to that of the individual. -
177 - Are we in the Modern Dark Ages?
Since September 11, 2001, the United States has lived in a constant state of fear. Thanks for the candor!
I love hearing about the good, the bad, and the ugly of the dance world. This is educational but also includes charming and relatable stories. He’s an expert, but also has a Chuck and Josh (Stuff You Should Know) kind of self-deprecating quality to him. Always enjoyable!
I like his honesty
As listed in the title, I appreciate Barry’s (not gonna spell out his last name, as I would butcher it) honesty. Admittedly, I might be bias, as I’ve taken his class at BDC before. I also appreciate how diverse his subject matter tends to be.
PG (pretty good)
