    Good Isn’t Good Enough

    Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you’re listening to Share Life Today. Are you a good person? You know, most people would probably say they are pretty good. Not perfect all the time, but not so bad, either. But by what standard? The Bible actually gives us the standard. Jesus says in Matthew 5:48, "Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect." Now, that creates a problem because the Bible also says 'there is no one who does good. No not one." So if our good isn't good enough, how can we earn our way into Heaven? We can't! Our best efforts could never get us close, but God, rich in mercy made a way for us! While we could never deserve it, Jesus came to earth and took our punishment upon Himself. Now all we have to do is accept God's gift of grace! So, stop trying to work your way into Heaven.     Do YOU Know For Sure?

    Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you’re listening to Share Life Today. I have a question for you. It may be something you don't think about often, but I am sure you have considered it before at least a time or two. Here's the question: do you know for sure that you will be with God in Heaven? Whatever your answer may be, there is another important follow up question. If you were to die today and stand before God and He were to say to you, 'why should I let you into My Heaven?' What would you say? Think about your answers to those questions, and consider the peace you could have if you did know you would spend eternity in Heaven. Heaven is a free gift that cannot be earned or deserved. All you need to do is place your faith in Jesus Christ alone. Only Jesus has the key to Heaven. So, do you know for sure?     Testifying to God's Faithfulness

    Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you’re listening to Share Life Today. Jim Sanders, Executive Vice President of Ambassador Advertising, shared about how He has seen God’s faithfulness in his own life, “God's blessing has been beyond anything I could have imagined. In between, we started a satellite delivery company called Ambos. And it's clear based on who I am and who we are, that God's hand was in it every step of the way.” Through Ambos, God used Jim and his team to help Christian radio grow—pushing Gospel content to stations around the world. Jim could see God’s hand in it all. And the same is true in our lives. When we look back, we see God’s faithfulness—how He’s guided and transformed us since we placed our trust in Him alone. And sharing our “God stories” can open doors to Gospel conversations. So today, tell someone how God’s been faithful to you—and then share the Good News.     A Bright Future

    Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you’re listening to Share Life Today. Jim Sanders, Executive Vice President of Ambassador Advertising, shared a powerful quote. “I love the quote from the new chairman of Home Depot, who coming on board, met with all his senior staff, and they were all talking about how wonderful it used to be, how the glory days. And he said, when your memories exceed your dreams, the end is near. And I added the corollary—when your dreams exceed your memories, the future is bright.” What a great quote! You know, it’s good to look back and remember God’s faithfulness. The stories of what He’s done encourage us and build our faith. But we can’t stay there. God’s mission moves forward — and there are still so many who need to hear the Gospel. So let’s thank God for His faithfulness yesterday and keep working for His Kingdom today.     Ambassadors For Christ

    Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you’re listening to Share Life Today. Jim Sanders, Executive Vice President of Ambassador Advertising, says something every believer needs to remember: “We want them to know us by our love. We want be a good representative of the Lord. But more importantly, this is part of our mission.” You and I are called to be ambassadors for Christ — living examples of His love, grace, and truth in a world that desperately needs Him. When people see how we love, forgive, and serve, they get a glimpse of Jesus through us. But our mission doesn’t stop there. As we love, forgive, serve, and walk beside people, we share the Gospel with them. We can back up our actions with our words. There are so many we see everyday that are longing for the hope and peace found only through Jesus.     God Orchestrates Our Steps

    No Chance Meetings

    Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you’re listening to Share Life Today. Jim Sanders, Executive Vice President of Ambassador Advertising, has seen God’s hand in the most unexpected moments. He said, “The fact that there are these divine serendipities, there are no chance meetings.” Every encounter—whether with a neighbor, a stranger in line, or someone sitting next to you—may be an appointment set by God Himself. I remember meeting a young man at a bus stop when I was out with a team in Arizona, who shared that he was just sitting there thinking about what was shared at his AA meeting, that having a relationship with God could change everything. He asked us if we knew what that meant. And we were able to share the Gospel with him. So the next time you meet someone unexpectedly, remember—it’s not coincidence, it’s divine design.     Scripture Sword

    Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you’re listening to Share Life Today. As we talk about preparing ourselves to share the Gospel this week, we would be missing an opportunity if we didn't talk about one of the most important tools—the Word of God. In Hebrews, the author writes that "the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart." When we do training in evangelism at EE, we always make it a point to memorize Scripture. Because it is powerful! It works in the hearts of those we share it with. So let me encourage you today—start hiding God's Word in your heart and begin to share it with others. Start with John 3:16 or Acts 16:31, which says, "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved." You’ll see God take it and use it to change lives.
