I’m sorry but the episode on raw feeding is completely untrue. You say that you were giving the facts but most of those sound like biased opinions to me. Most of ‘cons’ of the raw diet are easily explainable, for example diarrhea and some of those diseases? Those come from people feeding their dogs an UNBALANCED raw diet. An unbalanced raw diet is when people who don’t know what their doing give their dog a piece of meat and a bone and call it good. People who do their research put a lot of time into formulating the proper diet or buy a meal plan from a pet nutritionist. A balanced meal will consist of a variety of muscle meats, raw meaty bones, liver, other organs, veggies, fruits, nuts and seeds, etc. If you are afraid of feeding an unbalanced diet you formulate it according to NRC recommendations for nutrients and vitamins, kibble is also formulated according to recommendations. Dogs systems are literally built to digest raw meat their digestive track is not like ours and most of the things like salmonella pass right through. If you’re afraid of parasites FREEZE THE MEAT for three weeks to kill them off! That simple! Oh and how you said that vets discourage it and say it’s dangerous? VETS ARE LITERALLY SPONSORED BY KIBBLE COMPANIES!! I know some really good vets who have been fired from their job just because they feed a raw diet to their pets, they didn’t recommend it to their clients, they just fed it to their own pets and they were fired.
