Botox For Your Pelvic Floor: Yay Or Nay?

Botox isn’t just for treating wrinkles, it’s also being used as a treatment for pelvic floor dysfunction. In this episode, we’re talking about Botox for overly tight or overactive pelvic floor muscles and why it’s gaining attention as a treatment option for pelvic pain conditions. You already know what time it is,  it’s time to look at the evidence. We break down the research on pelvic floor Botox and discuss what studies say about its use for conditions like pelvic pain, vaginismus, and painful sex (dyspareunia). We also talk about when Botox may be considered, how it works to relax pelvic floor muscles, and how it fits alongside pelvic floor physical therapy. Finally, we share our own thoughts and clinical experiences treating patients with pelvic floor dysfunction and discuss when Botox might (or might not) be helpful. If Botox for pelvic pain or a tight pelvic floor is something you’ve been considering, we’re breaking it all down on this episode. Can Different Birthing Positions Prevent Perineal Tearing? Let’s Look at the Evidence

New research in women’s health alert! Y’all already know we had to jump on this. You’ve heard us complain many times that we need more research in women’s health, it’s mandatory at this point. We want to be the podcast that gives you the most up to date evidence-based information for your body, for your sex life, for your health, for YOU.  All of our clinical impressions come from evidence based practice. We look at research all the time but we don’t always talk about specific studies on the podcast. Today we analyze a study looking at different birthing positions and their impact on perineal tearing. We get questions all the time “What’s the best position to deliver a baby in?” “What position can help guarantee I won’t tear” “What are things I can do to prevent tearing during child birth” If you’ve found yourself asking these questions, this research based episode is for you. Trying To Say Something Nice About Things We Hate: Heteronormativity, Hand Jobs, Bloating

We often talk about things we disagree with on this podcast. Frankly, we like to complain. Because let’s be real, have you seen the world we live in lately? But it’s the year of the horse, pelvic freaks. We’re taking this as a sign for us to be a little more positive this year.  We decided to challenge ourselves this episode by finding something nice to say about various things we’ve hated-on throughout our many episodes. Topics range from pelvic floor topics that make us angry to something as simple as… men. This episode is hilarious in our opinion, but we obviously think we are the funniest people alive. Do you hate this episode idea? If you do, try finding something nice to say with a five star rating ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. Have a question or story? You Got Cheated On: Let's Talk About It

Maybe you were cheated on years ago. Maybe you’re going through it right now. Either way, if you’ve experienced it, you already know how soul-crushing it can be. Unfortunately (but also… kind of fortunately?), we’ve both been there, and today it’s finally time to get into it. On this long-overdue episode, we’re sharing our own cheating stories. Plot twist: it’s actually one of the things that led to us becoming such great friends. We’re spilling all the tea: what happened, what it felt like, what we learned, and turning it into real advice for anyone navigating infidelity, betrayal, and the messy aftermath. In this episode we get real about: The positive things that come from getting cheated on Why getting cheated on feels so destabilizing The nervous system spiral that happens after betrayal How cheating impacts intimacy and your sex life The work it takes to improve trust in your next partner or relationship or even with casual sex How to have good sex again after infidelity Rebuilding trust in a new relationship (or in casual dating) Forgiving someone but your body not feeling safe yet Couples therapy before marriage (our thoughts) Staying vs. leaving after cheating (aka choose your hard) Remember, it really does get better, pelvic freaks.
