What is the Aggregate Expenditure Limit?
In our latest episode of Peoria Unified’s Progress Report, we are bringing you an in-depth look on an issue impacting not just Peoria Unified, but every public school district in the state of Arizona. $43.1 million of Peoria Unified’s Current Budget and $1.2 billion of public education funding across the state is at risk. This is funding that was previously allocated and is not a new tax or a request for additional funding.
Watch Superintendent Jason Reynolds discuss the Aggregate Expenditure Limit

Facilities Master Planning
The Peoria Unified School District operates 42 school sites and five support facilities, all which directly support student learning and achievement. As we continue to work and re-imagine the most effective operations of the school district, we also consider how the district can make the best use of facilities to support all facets of the reimagined strategic plan. This includes being good stewards of our resources, increasing community connectedness , having a robust teaching a learning program and ensuring our campuses are the safest places for students to receive an education.
I'm joined on this episode by Santa Fe Elementary School’s principal, Mr. John Nitschke and our Chief technology and Operations Officer, Kevin Molino.

Restart and Rebuild: Strategic Thinking Part II
This fall we will be entering into the restart and rebuild stage of our strategic plan. This reimagined plan will span three to five years and position Peoria Unified as a national leader in preK-12 education. The plan is centered on four strategic perspectives: Student Learning, Safety and Well-Being, Community Connectedness and Stewardship of Resources.
Today, I am joined by our Superintendent Dr. Jason Reynolds as we discuss the status of our strategic plan and what our community can look forward to in the coming years. I am also joined by Erik Stone the Principal of Parkridge Elementary who served as a facilitator at our Parent Engagement Forum; and we discuss some of the feedback that was received.
