    Navigating the Shadows: Inside the Underbelly with Eric Robinson  Recently retired from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), after 24 years as a special agent, Eric Robinson worked a range of crimes including white collar, counterterrorism, crimes against children, gangs, drugs, and public corruption. He served as a SWAT operator, a firearms instructor, and a tactics instructor.   Eric will soon release his first book, a collection of the humorous, surprising, and intriguing moments from his career. The memoir combines his years in law enforcement with his career prior to the Bureau.  Eric joined the FBI after 12 years in Christian ministry, to include pastoring a Baptist church in Western NY.     From Rock Star to Prosecutor: Gregg Owen on Law, Music, & Tech  Criminal Attorney, Rock Musician, Tech Entrepreneur, Author  I’m a former Chicago murder prosecutor who took a very unusual path to the courtroom. Before law school, I was a touring rock musician who performed across the Midwest and opened shows for bands like The Doors. But a personal turning point led me to leave music, cut my hair, and apply for an internship with the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office. Within a few years I was prosecuting murder cases in Chicago’s 26th and California courthouse, eventually trying more than sixty jury trials — most of them homicides. My book Convergence tells the true story of a brutal double murder that was solved in days but didn’t go to trial for four years. The case unfolded in the middle of a courthouse culture so corrupt it would later trigger the FBI’s historic Operation Greylord investigation.     Umay Acar-Sümer |Writer and Composer of ‘Beowulf the Musical Bio: Umay Acar-Sümer is a Turkish singer and composer based in Hampshire, UK. Having completed an MA in Medieval Studies and MMus in Music Composition at Royal Holloway, Umay draws inspiration from medieval literature and history in her writing. She is the writer and composer of ‘Beowulf the Musical’, a two-act musical made up of 35 song based on the medieval epic poem Beowulf. ‘Beowulf the Musical’ premiered at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2024 with Umay playing the role of Freawaru; the musical is now set to release an album with many of the original cast and orchestra members reprising their roles. Umay’s writing influences include late medieval authors like Geoffrey Chaucer, Sir Thomas Malory and Chrétien de Troyes as well as anonymous poems from the Anglo-Saxon period such as The Wanderer, The Battle of Maldon and The Seafarer. Musically she is inspired by contemporary composers such as Alan Menken, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Lin Manuel Miranda and Anais Mitchell as well as the works of Handel, Verdi, Mozart and Strauss. Umay is currently working on her next musical; a sapphic fairytale about a girl with a magical harp teaming up with a disgraced knight to defeat a dragon.
