    Voices from Queer Studies Class

    Join us for a roundtable discussion with students and their teacher of Queer Studies – the first course of its kind offered in the School District of Philadelphia. In the face of mounting right-wing  attacks on queer and trans people in our country, these students are learning about histories for queer life and liberation through an intersectional framework, and finding a space in school anchored to open expression and connection.  Please note: while these students are speaking about their own school, a large magnet public high school in Philadelphia, the intention of this podcast is not to target any one school, but to center students’ experiences that could be extrapolated to many schools in our city and likely beyond.
