Enjoyable all around!!
Phoebes narration is so soothing and pleasant that very rarely do I even bother to skip past the ads!
I will continue listening to anything she reads, but second an earlier plea for more mysteries…preferably those involving Lupin or Hercule Poirot.
I also found that I enjoyed the reading done by “Not Phoebe”. It took a few chapters to adjust my ears from Phoebe’s more level cadence, but once I did I appreciated Avery’s use of prosody and intonation.
A gift! But please, no more Avery!
I could listen to Phoebe read the side of a cereal box. A perfect narrator.
My only quip? I can’t stand the recent “season” with Avery Truffleman reading - everything she says sounds like there is a punchline waiting. Not the right cadence or voice for book narration. Leave it to Phoebe, please! I beg you!
Used to be great
Loved this one for falling asleep before they added annoying ads. I get shows need to have ads, but they used to be the same voice and subtle. Now they are jarring and obnoxious. Booooooo!
