I didn't find healing. I had to burn down first. Phoenix Phreedom is the podcast for people who've hit rock bottom, lost themselves, and are ready to rise anyway. Hosted by Kera Myles, Transformational Growth and Systems Strategist, this show brings raw truth, real psychology, and hard-won wisdom from someone who has lived it, not just studied it. The "Ph" stands for the Phoenix, because this freedom only exists on the other side of the burn. If you are done surviving and ready to become, welcome home. www.phoenixphreedom.com

Built to Provide, Built to Please: The Weight You Call Normal

Built to Provide, Built to Please: The Weight You Call Normal What if the thing everyone praises about you is also the thing slowly making you disappear? You are the dependable one. The strong one. The one who remembers, fixes, provides, anticipates, smooths things over, keeps everybody moving, and somehow still says, “I’m good.” But what happens when being useful becomes the price of belonging? In Episode 2 of The Black Hole of Becoming, Kera goes beneath the surface of overgiving, overfunctioning, people-pleasing, hyper-independence, and the invisible agreements we create when asking directly for what we need feels more dangerous than carrying everything ourselves. Because sometimes you are not exhausted simply because you have too much to do. Sometimes you are exhausted because somewhere along the way, your nervous system learned: If I am needed, I will not be forgotten. If I make myself easy, I will not be rejected. If I carry enough, maybe someone will finally carry me. And that realization changes everything. This episode moves through friendship, love, work, parenting, responsibility, resentment, and the uncomfortable difference between being loved for who you are and being valued for what you provide. Kera also introduces The Carry Check, five questions designed to interrupt the automatic yes and expose what may actually be underneath it. Because generosity is a choice. A survival role is something you are afraid to stop performing. And if your belonging disappears the moment your usefulness does, maybe what you were calling belonging was something else entirely. Before your next automatic yes, check what you are about to carry. www.phoenixphreedom.com coachingteam@phoenixphreedom.com Text: 312-600-8765

    The Black Hole of Becoming

Sometimes falling apart does not look dramatic. Sometimes it looks like sitting alone in a parked vehicle, engine off, hands still gripping the wheel, unable to make yourself walk inside. In the Season One premiere of Phoenix Phreedom, Kera explores the black hole between survival and becoming: the identity shifts, burnout, and quiet unraveling that rarely make it into the highlight reel. It is the place where the identity that kept everything together begins to lose its grip, but the person underneath it has not fully emerged. This episode examines the gravity we learn to generate for ourselves, the roles that reward us for disappearing, and the difference between someone seeing us fall and someone being safe enough to help us find solid ground. You will be invited to consider: Who are you without the gravity you built yourself? Who are you when nobody needs you to hold the whole orbit together? What if the fall was never the punishment, but the beginning of your separation from a life that was never built to hold you?
