Hey Everyone, My name is Christopher Brake, I am a Registered Physical Therapist working in private and public practice in Courtenay, British Columbia. One of my many passions is teaching. I hope to create valuable content that others can learn from. I consider myself to be a guide on people's rehabilitation journeys.     Gluteal Tendinopathy

    Key Points for Gluteal Tendinopathy: decrease compression forces by limiting amount of hip adduction, improve biomechanics during dynamic and functional activities and progressively strengthen glute abductors. Primary research used was LEAP study by Grimaldi et al in 2018, which outlined the exercise phases and progressions. Their study included detailed pictures and descriptions. Additionally, Allison K et al 2016 "Hip Abductor Weakness in Individuals with Gluteal Tendinopathy" and Ganderton et al 2018 "Gluteal loading vs sham exercise to improve pain and dysfunction in post menopausal women with greater trochanteric pain syndrome".
