    This time around on the Pingcroft Pod, hosts John and Lauren watched a movie neither of them had seen. They venture back to 1976 to discuss the ultimate underdog story: The Bad News Bears! They talk about the very colorful cast of characters, the use of Classical music throughout the movie, and their own experiences playing on little league teams.

    S01E02: Moneyball (2011)

    For the second episode of the Pingcroft Pod, our hosts take a look at one of John's favorite movies of ALL TIME: Moneyball. Follow Billy Beane (Brad Pitt) as he tries to make something out of nothing with the Oakland A's. Tired of losing to the bigger pockets of the New York Yankees, Beane turns the baseball world on it's head with the help of Peter Brand (Jonah Hill). This movie takes a fantastic look at the behind the scenes running of a major league baseball team. Our hosts also go over the year end awards for MLB, and some movies facts from 2011. There was also so much crying. Many, many tears.
