Play/Test is one part Actual Play Podcast, one part Interview Show, one part shameless promotional material for the tabletop role-playing games I make. Each week you'll hear actual playtests, edited for your consumption, of Hard-Space Hustle, a low-glamour sci-fi action game!

Changelog: Riley Hopkins
Riley is a very supportive friend and you should also be friends with them. Kickstarter for TTRPG and keeping yourself accountable. Making games with modular rules or rules you can ignore completely!

Changelog: Nora Blake
What are Nora's core philosophies when designing games? How some games aren't mean to be played, some games are therapy or poetry. Writing small games. Using just d6's in your game. Making a Stardew Valley/ Harvest Moon TGE game. You can't design games around bad players. Not protecting garbage people in the tabletop community, excusing their behavior and putting them on pedestals. Making the space more welcoming by not clinging onto old white designers who are really s****y.

Customer Reviews
A decent podcast.
If you enjoy Tabletop RPG streams, you'll enjoy this podcast. Its not just some guys playing a game, but testing out a game in the works and seeing what needs to be tweaked, changed, or removed. Literal Playtesting, as it says on the tin. Plus there's interviews with people in the TTRPG biz.
Tune in, turn up, other radio words!
This is a cool podcast that covers a variety of points of game play. It’s not just making the game or study, and it’s not just playing them. And Chris does a great job of finding new voices for each story!
A Disappointment
It started out promising, but doesn't live up to it. Chris seemed like a cool person, but did some poor choice things with the show. It's his show, so he can do what he wants. The show just really blows now. Whoever does the editing doesn't seem to have gotten much better, so it's still hard to listen to sometimes. There are better podcasts though and no shortage of gaming ones, move on to something good!
