Ep. 30: 8-bit vs 5200 Part 1: 1982
In a special multi-part series comparing the 8-bit computers to the 5200 console, this first episode focuses on 1982. Scanning the regular magazines for mentions of the 5200, I also scour other magazines for both 8-bit and 5200 coverage. Only in this special series will you hear article summaries from these periodicals: Electronic Games, JoyStik, Video Games, Video Games Player and Atari Age Magazine.

Please continue
Just discovered this gem. I hope this podcast hasn’t ended and that new episodes are coming. I’ll be burning through the old shows right quick.
New format?
Just heard the latest podcast and details on new format that will be more technical. I think that’s great! While it’s nice to hear about how to play or win at a game, it’s even better to hear how the game does what it does in the Atari. Rob, this is a great idea and I look forward to your continued podcast whenever you are up and running again.
A Great Historical Review
I've been reading my way through digital copies of the very first magazine to which I ever subscribed - Electronic Games - so this month-by-month survey of the magazines dedicated to the Atari 8-bit computers provides a fascinating parallel. I also appreciate the occasional dip into a hardcore technical discussion about these machines and their capabilities/limitations.
