    The Reformatory

    Come on in here and sit down, chile. Whew.  This week we're talking about a book that's very heavy but when a story like this gets told- you take it in! The Reformatory by Tananarive Due, the queen herself, follows the story of a young boy caught in the web of his town's dark history and his survival of that town's infamous school for boys. This is historical fiction meets paranormal thriller and it's in a league of its own! This is based on a true story, so trigger warnings abound! We're discussing themes of white supremacy, racial violence, and similar topics, so please listen with care. This is probably the hardest episode we've recorded thus far.     This Hoe Got Roaches In Her Crib

    Hear us out... no seriously, hear us out!! We all know about the infamous Quan Millz and his over the top titles. This week we did the ultimate test of not judging a book by it's cover and let me tell you- this was SO much different than we thought it would be! This week, we diving into the real story behind the crazy title and it got REALLY deep, SUPER fast. We're doing a lot of laughing and a lot of shaking our heads in this episode, but we also explored some really heavy but important subjects.  You do not wanna miss this conversation!
