Chefs, I prepared for you: vegan steak fajitas. I sautéed orange and yellow mini bell peppers leftover from a veggie tray ten days ago, plus red onion, cremini mushrooms, garlic, jalapeño, taco seasoning and half a fresh tomato I had in my fridge that I can’t use anymore because I ran out of bread to make sandwiches. I added taco seasoning to all of this. Then I sautéed Beyond steak, mixed with the vegetables, then served on corn tortillas.
Listeners, if you want to hear some NBA analysts throw out numbers about top Chef and also brag about the restaurants they’ve been to and give you way too many stats to even care about, you should listen to Pack Your Knives.
If you want to listen to some cool dudes hanging out and talking about the best reality food competition show ever, listen to Pod Chef.
Also, you guys read one of my Reddit comments in an episode of the podcast recently, so we are basically best friends now. I don’t know why Jamal’s plus one was not allowed into the Jewish wedding recently, but I volunteer to be his plus one to any future weddings, Jewish or not. As a vegan, I’m kosher by default.
In my Reddit comment, I told people to go back to season one of the podcast. You guys said not to do that. This is a rare instance of you being wrong.
This concerns me because I have reason to believe you are all now vampires. In the early seasons, you used to tell listeners which contestants were secret vampires. You no longer do this.
It seems you stopped because you have been infected yourselves. This is also probably why Bryan got Covid and why Jamal was not invited to dance the hora. I suspect Reaves has been a vampire ever since returning from the walkabout he took with Tom. He has definitely not been sleeping as much.
I have also been wondering when we will get scenes from Tom’s Top Chef movie sequel set in Jurassic Park. My main question is whether Padma, Kristen, or Gail will be the “clever girl.”
(I also want to hear Brian talk about John Cena retiring.)
